We are seeking an enterprising journalist to cover Indian equity capital markets activities for the Asia stocks team. You are a tenacious, well-sourced reporter who is passionate about breaking news, continually developing contacts and writing important, market-moving stories and smart analysis. Our reporters are team players who can tell stories on multiple platforms, whether it s the newswire, the website, Bloomberg s magazines, TV network or radio and podcasts.

Indias ECM market is one of the fastest growing in the world, with IPO fundraising surging to a record last year. A number of jumbo IPOs came to the market in recent months including Hyundai Motor India and Swiggy, and dealmakers are expecting this years listing proceeds to exceed the roughly $21 billion raised in 2024. You will be responsible for covering day-to-day ECM events, generating scoops on stock offerings and block trades, contributing to a daily column about ECM news and trends and writing compelling stories about broad market themes. You will be expected to work across beats and collaborate with reporters working in related coverage areas to explore this important market.
