Senior Accountant

To support Black Duck s ongoing rapid growth, Black Duck seeks a highly motivated, energetic individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and add value quickly to a fast-growing environment. This position is critical in driving efficiency, compliance, and excellence in global accounting operations while ensuring seamless collaboration across international regions.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting accounting operations and financial reporting of Black Duck global operations . This role involves consolidation of all global financial close inclusive of intercompany and operational expenses. The India Senior Accountant will serve as a key support to the Global Accounting manager in the US.

Reporting line

Global Accounting Manager and working in very close collaboration with Procurement, Treasury and FP&A.

Key Responsibilities

India Senior Accountant Operations:

Perform daily accounting activities across global regions assigned to this role including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll functions, accruals and fixed assets, lease accounting and prepaids.

Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings for all entities.

Create intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations to ensure accurate consolidated financial reporting.

Support audits (internal and external), providing documentation and ensuring audit readiness globally.

Complete and ensure balance sheet reconciliation have been completed and approved across all regions.

Ideal core qualifications, experience, attributes and skills

A Bachelor s degree in Accounting and/or Business from an accredited College/University required

5+ years of experience, preferably SAAS/software

Proficiency in global ERP systems, preferably Netsuite

Quick learner, able to pick up accounting and finance knowledge on-the-go in a fast-paced environment.

Should have a good attention to detail, able to spot irregularities in invoices and financial reports.

Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams across regions and external third parties

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate cultural and regulatory complexities.
