Lead- Cisco NSO Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco NSO Operations Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our network services orchestration platform using Cisco NSO. This role will oversee the deployment, monitoring, optimization, and maintenance of Cisco NSO, ensuring the delivery of efficient, scalable, and secure network services. The Operations Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline network operations and support the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Requirement Analysis & Team Management:
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders (e.g., NOC engineers, Tx Planning, Business) on NSO-related requirements, issues and project implementations.
• Drive deliveries based on the new requirement- solution closure, vendor engagement and delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions of new services into production.

• Cisco NSO Operations Management:
• Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and management of Cisco NSO in production environments.
• Develop operational strategies to optimize the performance of Cisco NSO within the organization.
• Ensure the platform's availability, scalability, and performance by managing regular maintenance, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate and manage change requests and upgrades to the NSO platform, minimizing service disruption.
• Provide regular updates and detailed reports on operational performance, challenges, and improvements to senior leadership.

• Service Orchestration & Automation:
• Manage and monitor the automation of network service deployments and lifecycle management using Cisco NSO.
• Work with network engineers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of NSO with other automation and orchestration platforms.
• Ensure network services are fully automated, optimized, and compliant with organizational policies and industry standards.

• Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement:
• Lead initiatives to continuously improve NSO operational efficiency through automation, process optimization, and proactive problem resolution.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and work on their resolution, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Analyze performance data and implement corrective measures to enhance network services delivery.

• Risk Management & Compliance:
• Oversee risk management related to network automation and orchestration, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Ensure compliance with internal security, regulatory, and industry standards related to NSO and network automation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Electronics & Comm, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in managing and supporting Cisco NSO or similar network orchestration platforms.
• Hands-on experience with networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and SDN technologies.
• Knowledge of transport network architecture including MPLS, CEN, EPT/NPT etc.

• Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions.

• Certifications (Preferred but not required):
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Cisco DevNet Professional or Associate certifications.
• ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
