Accounts Manager -For a leading Electronics Company in Africa (Gambia)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, prepare balance sheets, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support financial decision-making, and contribute to the company's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.

Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations in The Gambia.

Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory financial reports.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Monitor inventory and cost control for electronic products.

Use accounting software to record and analyze financial data.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.

At least 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the electronics or retail industry.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and accounting principles.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills for liaising with vendors, banks, and tax authorities

This position would be for 6 months & will be extended on the basis of his/her performance
