Job Description
- Experience and knowledge of US Tax codes. Preparing tax returns and related documents in accordance with IRS regulations.
- Prepares US individual federal and state tax returns, including self-employment, rental real estate, and other types of income.
- Playing the active reviewer role in handling BDO USA clients by coordinating with BDO USA and overseeing the delivery procedure within the allotted time frame.
- Recognize chances for tax planning and advice and keep up with the most recent tax reforms.
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing estimates and vouchers for Extension for Federal, State, and City Returns.
- Have regular interactions with the stakeholders, seniors, and other office counter parts to collaborate on multiple tasks.
- Coach and guide the associates and analysts on Tax preparations and processes.
- Establish and maintain long term relationships with stakeholdersand internal colleagues.
- Explore opportunities to bring more work to the organization by consistently providing high quality work.
- Works individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workplace.
Qualifications -
- M.Com / MBA / CA Inter
- C.A / CPA / EA
- Two (2) to Ten (4) years of prior experience in US induvial taxation.
- Knowledge of Go-Rs, Sure Prep, Tax cady and CCH Access is added advantage.
- Prior experience preparing and reviewing individual tax return.
- Prior experience of trust return preparation will be added advantage.
- Performing detailed review of estimated payment and extensions calculations and related filings.
- Prior basic supervisory experience preferred.
- Identify the open items and communicate with the managers.
- Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA Proficient in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS, SurePrep, BNA Tax planning Software, or comparable programs and standard tax workpapers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively delegate work as needed
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills
- Capacity to work well in a team environment
