Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with experience in building projects to manage costs, prepare estimates, and ensure projects are completed within budget. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
1. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all projects related cost and financial transactions.
2.Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for the project. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses. Ensure cost efficiency while maintaining project quality.
3. Measurement & Valuation: Prepare periodical physical and financial progress reports. Analyze and prepare quantities of the project and prepare the detailed BOQ. Measure and quantify materials, labor, and work done on-site. Prepare and verify interim and final payment certificates. Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs. Analyze and prepare quantities of the project and prepare the detailed BOQ. Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
4. Cost Control & Monitoring: Track project costs and ensure budget adherence. Identify cost variations and recommend corrective actions. Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts. Identify new items executed apart from BOQ, intimate the same and analyze, prepare new variation items and submit for approval.
5. Risk & Value Management: Assess project risks and propose mitigation strategies. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
6. Reporting & Documentation: Monitoring day-to-day activities that make sure works are carried out as per IRC specifications Maintain detailed records of project costs, contracts, and claims. Provide regular financial reports to management. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
7. Coordination & Communication: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers. Assist team on Preparation of working drawings and As-built drawings for Structures and Highway. Conduct periodical review meetings.
Attend project meetings and provide cost-related insights. Assist in dispute resolution and contract negotiations.
Technical Skills -Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, Primavera, MS Excel).
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and contracts.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Civil Engineers having Degree or Diploma with 3 to 7 years of experience for the Building projects.
2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in building projects.
3. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
4. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
5. Project Management Skills: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
