Azira is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with extensive experience building scalable, high-performance software systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Python, containerization, and cloud technologies, with a focus on system reliability and maintainability. A track record of delivering high-quality solutions, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning are key for this role. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a deep understanding of best engineering practices are essential.
A Day in the Life - Design and develop scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement best practices in software engineering, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and delivery.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends via continuous, self-directed learning.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Strong passion for building reliable, scalable, and maintainable software systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Java, Python, and Bash scripting.
- Proficiency in Docker, and container orchestration tools (Docker Compose, Kubernetes, AWS ECS).
- Expertise with Git (command line) and GitHub for version control.
- Experience with build and dependency management tools such as Maven, Poetry, Gradle, and Make.
- Solid experience with both RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux fundamentals.
- Deep knowledge of SRE best practices and principles.
- Proven ability in designing scalable, high-performance systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A continuous drive for self-improvement and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
- Preferred skills include experience with Spark, Airflow, AWS EMR, and proficiency in GoLang, Scala, and the AWS ecosystem.
