Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Nokia 5G Packet Core Expert to play a crucial role in writing Method of Procedures (MOPs) for service stitching and the integration of 5G Packet Core with other core network nodes in a multi-vendor environment.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Nokia 5G Packet Core, you will also contribute to automating these processes as part of the 5G Management and Orchestration (MANO) project. This role involves deep technical expertise in Nokia 5G Core components and a hands-on approach to ensuring seamless integration, service delivery, and orchestration.

Key Responsibilities :

MOP Development & Service Stitching :

- Develop, document, and maintain detailed MOPs for the integration of Nokia 5G Packet Core elements (e.g., AMF, SMF, UPF) with other core network nodes (SCP, HSS, etc.).

- Ensure all MOPs are aligned with industry standards (3GPP) and specific customer requirements for seamless service stitching across core network functions.

- Oversee the implementation of MOPs during network integration and ensure they meet project quality and reliability standards.

- Continuously update MOPs as new services or network elements are added or upgraded.

5G MANO Automation :

- Collaborate with the 5G MANO automation team to automate Packet Core-related workflows for service deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management.

- Ensure that all service stitching procedures are automated and integrated into the 5G MANO orchestration system for end-to-end automation.

- Provide technical inputs for the development of workflows, scripts, and APIs required for automating network configuration, provisioning, and monitoring.

Integration & Testing :

- Lead the integration of Nokia 5G Packet Core with other network functions across multiple vendors, including Ericsson and third-party solutions.

- Participate in network testing, validation, and troubleshooting, ensuring proper integration and service performance.

- Ensure that service stitching between network elements is optimized for seamless communication and end-to-end service delivery.

Subject Matter Expertise (SME) :

- Act as the primary SME for Nokia 5G Packet Core in the context of 5G MANO automation and service stitching.

- Provide technical leadership in design discussions, integration strategies, and service orchestration frameworks for the 5G core network.

- Advise internal teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders on best practices for integrating and automating Nokia Packet Core components within a multi-vendor environment.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD), integration workflows, MOPs, and test plans.

- Generate detailed reports on the integration and automation status, highlighting areas for improvement, operational risks, and any required corrective actions.

- Collaborate with customer teams and provide support in operational troubleshooting, patching, and performance improvements.

Required Qualifications and Experience :

- Hands-on experience with Nokia 5G Packet Core components including AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF, and PCF.

- Expertise in writing and implementing MOPs and integration of core nodes.

- Strong understanding of 3GPP 5G SA architecture, protocols (SBI, N2, N3, etc.), and core interfaces.

- Familiarity with MANO (Management and Orchestration), NFV, and SDN concepts, especially in the automation of network services.

Automation & Tools :

- Experience working on MANO orchestration platforms like Nokia CloudBand or other NFV orchestration tools.

- Proficiency in automation scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) and API integration for network configuration and management.

- Understanding of Cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines for network service deployment.

- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

- Ability to solve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail in writing MOPs and integration procedures.

Experience :

- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Packet Core Expert, specifically with Nokia 5G Core technologies.

- Experience working in large-scale network integration and automation projects involving multi-vendor environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications :

- Nokia 5G Core Expert Certification (or equivalent).

- Certifications in NFV, Cloud technologies, or network automation.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
