Instrumentation Designer / Draftsman

NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION
To participate in the design of instrument and control systems and to produce detailed drawings of instrument designs.

Fully competent Designer specialized in all aspects of chosen discipline. Able to produce designs with minimal engineering input, sketches, notes, vendor drawings etc. Should have good understanding of other discipline modeling activities, dependency on the other disciplines, Responsible for on time delivery and quality. Identifies shortcomings in current design methods and use of software and proposes remedies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
To use computer aided design (Micro-station, AutoCAD, PDMS including Draft) facilities for the production of detailed and general arrangement drawings, such as Layouts, interconnection diagrams, Installation drawing, loop drawings, block diagrams, termination diagrams, mounting details for racks and equipment etc.
Maintain AutoCAD files.
Creating 2D drawings using AutoCAD for Block diagram, Loop diagrams, Interconnection diagram, Wiring diagram, architecture diagram etc.
Generating 2D layout drawings for F&G layout, JB layout, LCP layout and MCT etc.
Preparation of Fabrication Drawing for instrumentation function based on Installation Drawings
Preparation of Bill of Material
Prepare wall Opening / cut out drawing for Buildings (Control Room)
Perform site survey, prepare survey reports for brownfield related jobs
Review and coordinate instrument 3D model with the other disciplines

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Qualification: Engineering Degree or Diploma from a recognized university / Institution. Excellent technical knowledge and use of design softwares like AutoCAD, PDMS etc.
Experience: Minimum 3 -5 Yrs for BE/BTech and 6 Yrs. for Diploma is preferable. Experienced professional should be fully competent in the use of relevant draughting software. Experience in an oil and gas company in specific engineering services focused on FPSO, FSO, other floating Oil & Gas structures and platforms is preferred,
