About the role:

As Management Accountant, you will be part of our dynamic team based in Mumbai, India. You will have strong experience in management accounting and be able to demonstrate your aptitude for ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Management Accounts, this role requires proactive engagement, exceptional teamwork skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities duties:

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Post manual journals and maintain proper documentation and support for all entries
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Categorise costs effectively to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes
• Handle cash posting activities and ensure proper allocation and reconciliation of cash transactions
• Actively participate in transformational finance projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and provide insights for decision-making
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including variance analysis and management reporting
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline operations
• Support the Senior Manager Management Accounts in ad-hoc tasks and projects as required

About you:

Candidates with relevant experience within a large-scale or multinational pharmaceutical company, manufacturing industry or similar commercial background are likely to have the skills required to be successful in this role. We are also looking for:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred
• Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of being a proactive and engaged team player
• Experience in leading or participating in finance transformation projects is highly desirable
• Ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• High level of integrity and professionalism
