This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing process and product quality by applying appropriate Goodyear standards and procedures to solve problems and provide solutions to technical problems, conducts work on assigned tasks & exhibits a significant level of knowledge and expertise in extrusion process and die developments
Lead the application of technical solutions to meet product requirements of NPI and process requirements to reduce rework and scrap. Acknowledged content expert, teaching others and developing new approaches to achieve requirements of NPI die development and uniformity requiremnts. Network with other technical experts in region to improve processes and solve problems.
Accountable to drive product and process improvements within relevant quality guidelines and standards using appropriate quality engineering tools
Coach and teach Plant Optimization (PO) and use PO methods to drive process improvements.
Audit and ensure the use of current technology and standards in performing assigned tasks, as well as supporting innovative methods and technologies to improve extrusion process.
Apply expertise to anticipate problems and develop solutions with appropriate tools and methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs. Disseminate techniques to anticipate and mitigate risks

New Die & Splice bar development for new SKUs
Data Analysis of rework generation from extruders & tire room.
Meeting day to day specification, Controlling product within specification from extruder to reduce uniformity variations & tire weight
Maintaining & controlling tread conicity with GY limits
Bead Waste & Cure tyre waste controlling related to Business Center A
Control & management of milling waste through rework management
Maintain the process of product guidelines specification.
Is suppose to investigate, understand and analyze the interaction between raw materials / compounds / equipment for reducing extrusion variations
Anticipate and identify problems proactively through LPA and process audits
Develop and advise on problem solving strategies to reduce variations in extrusion
Use collaboration to solve problems and make decisions. Identify external resources of Goodyear to collect data and inputs to make decisions. Consult with resources.
Identify high impact projects and implement solutions to reduce GT & CT Scrap
Has good understanding of green properties and influences on component extrudate
