Job Description
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential land parcels suitable for development.
- Perform due diligence on selected properties, including title searches, land records verification, and environmental assessments.
- Stay abreast of and interpret relevant local, state, and national laws pertaining to land acquisition and development.
- Ensure compliance with NA and YUDA regulations and other legal requirements throughout the acquisition process.
- Negotiate with landowners, brokers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms for land acquisition.
- Draft and review legal agreements, including sale deeds, development agreements, and other related documents.
- Liaise with government authorities, including municipal bodies and planning commissions, to obtain necessary approvals and clearances.
- Facilitate the process of converting agricultural land into non-agricultural land in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Handle legal disputes and litigation related to land acquisition and development, if any.
- Work closely with external legal counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all land-related transactions and legal proceedings.
- Ensure that all records comply with regulatory standards and can withstand legal scrutiny.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and relevant stakeholders to provide legal insights and updates on land acquisition projects.
