Inventory Executive

Role & responsibilities :-

1. Inventory

Role: Oversee the overall inventory system, ensuring that diamond goods are tracked, managed, and accurately accounted for. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement inventory control systems.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder diamonds based on demand.
• Ensure proper storage and security of diamonds.
• Supervise inventory audits and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers and clients to fulfill orders.

2. Stock Clerk

Role: Handle day-to-day operations of the inventory, including the physical counting and tracking of diamonds. Responsibilities:

• Perform regular physical checks of diamond stock.
• Record incoming and outgoing diamond shipments.
• Organize and categorize diamonds based on cut, clarity, carat, and color.
• Ensure diamonds are stored in secure, appropriate conditions.
• Assist in labeling and packaging diamonds for sale or shipment.

3. Warehouse Supervisor

Role: Oversee the storage and handling of diamonds in the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and security. Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe and secure storage of diamonds.
• Supervise staff working in the warehouse to ensure inventory is handled appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records of diamond storage and location within the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Perform regular stock checks to ensure quantities match records.

4. Procurement Specialist

Role: Handle the procurement and purchasing of diamonds from suppliers. Responsibilities:

• Identify and establish relationships with diamond suppliers.
• Negotiate prices and ensure quality control of diamonds purchased.
• Keep track of market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Ensure diamonds purchased align with inventory needs and demand forecasts.

5. Quality Control Specialist

Role: Inspect diamonds for quality assurance, ensuring that diamonds meet industry standards and customer specifications. Responsibilities:

• Verify the authenticity and quality of diamonds.
• Grade diamonds based on the 4 Cs (cut, clarity, carat weight, and color).
• Identify diamonds that do not meet quality standards for return or further processing.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure proper quality checks for purchased diamonds.

6. Logistics Coordinator

Role: Manage the transportation of diamonds from suppliers to warehouses or from warehouses to customers. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate shipping and receiving of diamond goods.
• Ensure diamonds are delivered on time and in the proper condition.
• Track inventory movement and update records.
• Handle customs documentation and shipping compliance for international transactions.
• Ensure diamonds are insured during transport.

7. Sales and Distribution Manager

Role: Manage the sale and distribution of diamonds to clients or retail partners. Responsibilities:

• Develop sales strategies to ensure optimal inventory turnover.
• Coordinate with clients to fulfill orders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Update inventory systems with sales data.
• Track market trends and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure diamonds are appropriately promoted to the target audience.

8. Data Analyst (Inventory)

Role: Analyze inventory data and provide insights on inventory trends, forecasting, and replenishment strategies. Responsibilities:

• Analyze inventory turnover rates, sales trends, and diamond demand patterns.
• Provide forecasting data to optimize inventory levels.
• Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend strategies for liquidation or repurchasing.
• Assist in developing reports for senior management on inventory performance.
• Suggest improvements for inventory processes based on data analysis.

9. Security Personnel

Role: Ensure the security and safety of diamond inventory. Responsibilities:

• Monitor the storage areas and warehouses to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular security checks and audits.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols related to handling high-value items like diamonds.
• Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure the security of the diamond inventory during transportation and storage.
