Senior DevOps Engineer - Docker/Kubernetes (6-8 yrs)

Job Title : Devops Kubernetes Expert.

Experience : 6-8 Years.

Work Location : Pune(Hybrid).

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days Only.

Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and manage highly available Kubernetes clusters on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premises.

- Implement and maintain Kubernetes best practices for security, performance, and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Kubernetes issues, including pod failures, network issues, and resource contention.

- Perform cluster upgrades, patching, and maintenance.

- Design and implement containerization strategies using Docker.

- Develop and maintain Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and operators.

- Optimize container images for size and performance.

- Implement and manage container registries.

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Argo CD.

- Automate the build, test, and deployment of containerized applications to Kubernetes.

- Integrate security scanning and vulnerability assessments into CI/CD pipelines.

- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

- Ensure infrastructure consistency and repeatability.

- Implement and configure monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog.

- Set up alerts and dashboards to monitor Kubernetes cluster and application performance.

- Analyze logs and metrics to identify and resolve issues.

- Implement security best practices for Kubernetes and containerized applications.

- Configure and manage Kubernetes RBAC, network policies, and security contexts.

- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

- Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Participate in agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in Kubernetes and containerized applications.

- Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Provide technical support to internal teams.

- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer :

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for team members.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps technologies.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- 6-8 years of experience in DevOps and Kubernetes.

- Strong experience with Kubernetes cluster management and administration.

- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker).

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Argo CD).

- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).

- Strong understanding of networking concepts and cloud infrastructure.

- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).

- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).

- Experience with serverless computing (Kubernetes Functions, Knative).

- Experience with database management in Kubernetes (operators).

- Experience with GitOps practices.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
