Junior Engineer / Assistant Engineer - MEP

This position is responsible for planning and designing in the area of (MEP) structure including developing policies, inspection procedure and evaluation tools for MEP matters along with preparing, reviewing drawing, specification and cost estimates for the MEP system.

Role & responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications according to the plan by identifying problems in design and formulate solutions
• Manage and oversee the work of subordinate staff, contract architects or Engineers
• Provide technical advice to staff designer, supervisor, inspector and contracting service provider, regarding installation and maintenance of MEP system
• Analyze mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions
• Prepare and deliver effective oral presentations whenever required
• Advise the Project manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g. quality or snag
• Participate in risk workshops and report any risks associated with MEP installations or general projects to the Project Manager
• Review drawing in conjunction with the structural and electrical engineers to ensure engineering co-ordination and advise the project director accordingly
• Undertake general project site observation/inspection of the mechanical services works for contractors' adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultants specification, good working practices, and construction schedule

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical from a recognized institute.
• 2 to 6 Years of total experience in construction with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

Key Skills

• Good knowledge in MS Office, AutoCAD and Project management software.
• Skilled in reading plans/drawings/specifications of architectural, structural and engineering framework.
• Should be able to handle Planning, Coordination, Bill Certifications, Drawings, Execution etc.
• Good written and verbal communication in English, Hindi and Telugu.
