Position overview
Are you ready to take charge of sourcing the essential raw materials that keep our production running smoothly? allnex invites you to join us as a Direct Sourcing Specialist in Mumbai, India to manage our raw material procurement activities and category spend. In this role, youll play a key part in ensuring our production runs safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. This is a 1-year contract role with the opportunity for yearly renewal a great chance to grow your expertise in strategic sourcing while making a real impact in our operations.

Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, including developing alternative sourcing options.
- Compare supplier offers and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms.
- Manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate data entry and timely deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including deliveries, invoices, and cost analysis reports.
- Coordinate with transporters and clearing agents when required.
Required skills and experience
- 5+ years of experience in direct purchasing or a similar role within the chemical manufacturing industry .
- Strong understanding of vendor sourcing from researching and evaluating to building lasting supplier relationships.
- Hands-on experience with procurement systems like SAP and Ariba .
- Solid grasp of procurement/supply chain procedures and best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure the best value for the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Science (B.Sc.), Commerce (B.Com.), or an MBA , preferably with a focus on sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
