Manager - Quality / Quality And Food Safety

We have Centralized Non Food Procurement team, where procurement of Equipments and vessels are happening centrally for 75 kitchens. Approximately 50Cr worth equipments, vessels, machines are being purchased every year. To ensure the quality and food safety of the equipments & food contact surfaces, we need a Manager _ Quality (Non Food) who is having experience in similar field.

The key skills we are looking:

• Candidate should have min 8 yrs. of experience in equipment field especially in food Industry equipment’s(Catering/Bakery/Manufacturing).
• Should have knowledge on food safety, equipment safety, NSF/ANSI 8 and ISO/TC 326 standard requirements
• Well versed in Equipment Quality specifications .

The Non-Food purchase process has to be streamlined with Quality intervention on Supplier selection, Equipment’s specification, Food safety requirements of equipment’s & chemicals etc

• Establish and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures for equipment procurement.
• Assess potential suppliers or vendors based on their adherence to quality standards and their ability to meet Akshaya Patra requirements.
• Ensure policies align with industry standards and company requirements.
• Perform detailed inspections and tests on equipment arrival to verify compliance with specified standards, regulations, and TAPF specifications.
• Document and report on inspection outcomes and any deviations from standards to vendor timely.
• Continuously track and analyze equipment performance to ensure it meets agreed capacity and performance criteria set by vendors.
• Initiate corrective actions from vendor side if performance falls short of expectations
• Investigate and resolve equipment quality issues with suppliers, including negotiating replacements or repairs as needed.
• Make recommendations or decisions regarding supplier selection.
• Work closely with CSS(NF) and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to equipment.
