Role and Responsibilities

As a DevOps Trainer, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality, engaging, and effective training sessions to individuals or groups. You will educate professionals and teams on DevOps tools, techniques, and best practices, ensuring that they can apply these skills in real-world environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver Training: Conduct both in-person and online training sessions on various DevOps tools, practices, and methodologies.
• Curriculum Development: Create, update, and enhance training materials, presentations, exercises, and labs to ensure content is relevant and up to date with industry standards.
• Hands-on Sessions: Provide hands-on labs and practical exercises to help participants gain real-world experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Git.
• Assessments: Create and administer assessments and quizzes to evaluate the participants' learning and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to students and professionals by answering queries, solving problems, and offering career advice.
• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices to incorporate into the training programs.
• Feedback & Improvement: Gather feedback from students and participants to improve the training content and delivery methods.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and feedback.
• Collaborate: Work with other trainers and the training team to ensure a unified approach to the delivery of training programs.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with DevOps tools and processes in a professional capacity.
• Prior experience in teaching or training (technical training experience is highly desirable).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in key DevOps tools: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), containerization, automation, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Understanding of cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Groovy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications:
• DevOps-related certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
• Training-related certifications such as Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) or similar.
• Experience with e-Learning Tools: Familiarity with creating or delivering content via learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Canvas, or TalentLMS.
