Legal Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including commercial agreements, service agreements, vendor contracts, and confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice and guidance to business units and management on various non-litigation matters, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, intellectual property, and employment law.
• Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Advise on compliance programs, risk management, and corporate policies.
• Corporate Governance: Support the legal team in governance matters, including the preparation and maintenance of corporate documents, board minutes, and resolutions.
• Legal Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks related to business operations, providing proactive solutions to minimize exposure and protect the companys interests.
• Due Diligence: Conduct legal research and provide assistance on legal due diligence for business transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships.
• Intellectual Property Management: Assist in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and licensing agreements.
• Dispute Resolution (Non-Litigation): Handle non-litigation dispute resolution, such as mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
• Compliance Training: Develop and conduct training sessions for staff on legal and compliance issues to foster a culture of legal awareness within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Law degree (LL.B.) from an accredited institution.
• years of experience in non-litigation legal matters, preferably within a corporate or commercial legal environment.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and compliance regulations.
• Knowledge of legal principles and regulations related to Real estate
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
