Sr Java Backend Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based backend solutions using Java & Spring Boot.
• Implement RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend applications.
• Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and transactions for efficient data handling.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure application security, performance, and scalability using best practices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, QA) to ensure smooth development and deployment.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to improve system efficiency.
• Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and other testing frameworks.
• Monitor system health, performance, and ensure high availability.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong experience in Java (8+) and Spring Boot development.
• Hands-on experience in Microservices architecture and API development.
• Experience with RESTful web services and API gateways.
• Good knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment tools.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and best coding practices.
• Experience with unit testing & integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, Keycloak).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
