Job Description: Director - HR (People Operations, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partner)
Location: Gurgaon
Reports to: (CXO/Leadership Team)
Role Overview:
The Senior Director of HR will oversee and lead People Operations, Talent Acquisition (TA), HR Business Partnering (HRBP), and Performance Management Systems (PMS). This leadership role will focus on driving retention, employee engagement, career journeys, succession planning, and enhancing the overall employee experience. Reporting directly to CXO, this position will play a key role in the transformation of the company's people processes while ensuring alignment with business growth and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Operations Leadership: Manage all aspects of People Ops, including employee lifecycle management, performance management, and HR systems.
- Talent Acquisition (TA): Lead a robust TA function to attract top talent. Work with hiring managers and recruitment teams to drive hiring targets and optimize recruitment strategies.
- HR Business Partnering (HRBP): Build strong relationships with senior leadership and department heads. Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the business in matters related to employee engagement, development, and retention.
- Performance Management Systems (PMS): Develop and enhance the PMS to ensure alignment with business objectives, create frameworks for performance reviews, and build continuous feedback loops.
- Retention Strategy: Develop strategies to improve employee retention, including career development programs, benefits, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Career Journey Development: Design career progression pathways, training, and leadership development programs, creating clear growth paths for employees.
- Benchmarking and Succession Planning: Conduct market benchmarking to ensure compensation and benefits are competitive, and work on succession planning for key positions.
- Internal Job Postings (IJP): Oversee the implementation and success of IJP systems for promoting internal mobility.
- Acquisition and Amalgamation: Lead and manage the HR integration processes for any future mergers or acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions.
Key Challenges:
- Retention and engagement amidst a high-growth environment.
- Designing career progression frameworks that align with the company's expanding scope.
- Managing performance, feedback, and development processes to ensure sustained business growth.
- Integrating new acquisitions and aligning them with company culture.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in HR, with a significant portion in leadership roles at both MNCs and startups. Proven experience in scaling HR processes in tech/SaaS environments. Experience in leading and managing across People Operations, TA, HRBP, and PMS is essential.
- Educational Background: Graduate/postgraduate from a Tier 1 institute
- Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to motivate and inspire teams and individuals, fostering a high-performance culture. Willingness to scale and grow into a VP role if performance expectations are exceeded.
