Round: Group Discussion
Experience: We were divided into 4 groups of around ten people each. The topics given were general ones. Our group was given a topic on the pros and cons of social networking sites.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The technical round of the interview is not very tough. I was asked about my favorite subjects. Then they had asked on the basic structure of a lathe machine and a few fundamental questions from strength of materials.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: HR interview was general. They asked about my family backgrounds and then any problems with relocations etc.

General Tips: Usha has 4 locations at hyderabad, faridabad, gurgaon and kolkata with its head office at gurgaon. Its a core mechanical company and people who are interested should join. Just brush up your fundamentals that's all.All the best!!

Motivation: On the whole the selection process was good. We got our offer letters immediately after selections. The panel members were open and friendly. The package is also quite good

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: I initiated the gd,panel just wanted to see how well spoken u r ?n how confident u r?Give strong points what others didn't cover.Give practical examples too.Keep yourself updated with the news time to time .That is more than sufficient
Duration: 20 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was purely technical.They asked me whether I was actually interested in mechanical engg?Then they asked my fav subject.I mentioned IC engines n thermodynamics.They covered almost all topics from IC and thermodynamics.Give practical examples everywhere.They also asked from manufacturing technology.It was nice experience .Panel want to see how confident you are.Be smart while answering.Do not give them a chance to question from any other subject that you aren't confident.Answer all knowledge that you know about the question they asked for.

General Tips: All the very best.Prepare well the subject that you are interested in.Your answer must be smart and be confident.

Experience: No apti
Duration: 20 minutes

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: They were looking for team players with good communication skills.Do not dominate others.Give chance to every
one and see to it u do not speak a lot.
Duration: 12 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Questions were basically from practical life rather than bookish like what is the difference between 40w and 100w bulb what parameter is used to measure it .Difference between cfl and bulb and why low rating for cfl lamps.You use dc or ac for trains n how much voltage .Then voltages of laptop adapters,cell chargers etc.Then how solar cells work can you store that energy is it cheap and all. then I was asked about illumination its unit,What is the lux in this room and halogens then dark and sunlight.That's it so just if you have basic practical knowledge of your subject enough no need to prepare anything.The whole process was very lite just be confident present yourself well and relax.Leave the rest for the next company if not selected(many will come ) .

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Basically they don stress much on hr. Where my parents were and what they did,any prob in relocation .That's it.

General Tips: Just chill don't panic if you have brain (which you have because you are here),work on your communication skills if not good and observe things around you that's more than enough.Your college tag is sufficient enough to get you a job,so look for the one s where you would love to work.All the best for your life.
