Experience: A lease is a contract and if in writing, would be governed by its terms and conditions. A lease gets terminated by flux of time. Otherwise the provisions of Section 106 of the Transfer of Property Act would apply. A lease for Industrial or agricultural purpose would be a lease from year to year and need six months notice while other type of leases would run from moth to month and can be terminated by fifteen days' notice. Their GM Law sitting on the panel probably was not aware about six moths' notice and he immediately summoned for the bare Act.
