What do y’all discuss in one to ones with your manager?

Every two weeks I have a one to one with my manager. During those two weeks we meet in 3 different sprint meetings; so he knows well what I am working on. To highlight my work with more details in one to one might take max 10 minutes. I don talk much myself, neither does he. What more should I do to address myself better or what else should I discuss?🤔 Your advice is much appreciated!

I once had a boss who was a nightmare. He constantly tormented and made fun of me. Thankfully, I eventually escaped that toxic situation and found a supportive leader who helped me grow into a leader myself. The biggest disappointment was losing my self-respect while working for someone who thought disrespecting me was amusing. There are way too many crazy bosses out there. If you find yourself in a similar situation, don't hesitate to leave as soon as possible. Losing your self-respect is a form of emotional poverty. Remember: Demand respect or quit. One senior engineer in my team constantly mocks me for not being efficient, based on mistakes I made early on. He taunts me, even in front of others, to seem cool. At first, I didn’t mind, but now it’s affecting me because others also think the same way. I’ve tried snapping back, but it just makes me look rude. Corporate campaigns using Al are the worst and the silly thing is they are spending the same amount of money hiring recently turned Al gurus. Current scene looks like when a 12 year old gets access to photoshop for first time and cut/paste his face on everything with untamed excitement. Corporates are just opting for Al because using Al is all the rage right now but that will pass and then Al specific agencies will need to up their game because they will be expected to make proper arms, human hands, and non-demonic eyes. Al is useful in some places but you need actual professionals to decide when and how much Al is required.🤔

So, my friend's parent passed away due to cardiac arrest. He is clueless about his dad's policies, savings, stocks. Not that they're strapped for cash, but he'll be spending months sorting through this mess. Fear of getting fired!

I've been working at my current job for about three years. I got a promotion after the first year, but I've always felt like I'm not good enough and that I might get fired. Last year, I started to feel more confident and had a really great year. My manager even praised me. However, my annual review was a big disappointment. I am in a team where people are leaving at rapid pace. almost 50% of team has left in last 6 months. 🤯 approx 25 people Reason - upper management toxic favouritism to seniors 🥵, allowing week of leaves to them, there's literally 2 parts in team - seniors Vs us who actually work!!
