Round: Test
Experience: There were a total of 35 multiple choice questions: These contained questions mainly for PETROLEUM REFINING subject if you are thorough with this subject you can easily answer 25 questions.the rest of the questions were from HEAT TRANSFER and FPM. PETROLEUM REFINING: From this check what are these things which will give you brief overview of the technical paper: topping operation: bubble cap is used for this see the rest things like what is the definition and all. what is atmospheric distillation unit and vacuum distillation unit? all details like what are feeds for each and its products. aviation fuels characteristics especially its viscosity index;the products of petroleum refining and their viscosities; catalytic cracking wats is the feed and the catalyst used for this;wats cetane and octane no also diesel index;see some important processes like sweetening process and others. On a whole you need to be good at this petroleum refining mostly it is memory based. FPM: need to be thorough like centrifugal pump is used to pump crude; different kinds of pumps characteristics and design. different kind of flow measurement meters. HEAT TRANSFER: FILM TYPE AND DROP TYPE CONDENSATION AND THE DIFFERENCE IN HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS i.e the heat transfer coefficient for drop is greater than film type STUDY EVERY MINUTE THING.

Skill Tips: For this particular technical paper you should know petroleum refining properly and little of FPM and heat transfer, but technical interview is different they may ask anything related to your training or any of the subjects but stress is laid on mass transfer, FPM, Heat transfer and petroleum refining.
