Experience: The written had a typical pattern as follows :
1. Computer Fundamentals (10 Questions)
2. Questions based language you are familiar with (c/c++/java) (30 Questions)
3. Aptitude questions (10 Questions)
Round: GROUP ACTIVITY
Experience: Here they gave us some wooden blocks and crayons and asked us to make a logo for morgan stanley and prepare a slogan individualy which shows the technological development of MS with collaboration with Clients .
Round: HR Interview
Experience: Questions - Projects which I did in the academic years . I explained everything by topic wise and told him also that I did an Industrial project on Android applications. Then he asked me that your idea was not brought into the group activity but still you said you will be the leader and How would I accept it !!!! Then I told that I did my best and got up with a logo and slogan for my topic and as a team I was compromised with people since the idea here was the same and but the design was only different . Then he asked whom will you eliminate from that group. I replied that there was no necessity for me to eliminate anyone when all were working to their best . And if it is compulsory then I may go out because I did not do my design work well but did co ordinate well . He smiled and went through my resume . I myself started telling about the responsibilities which I have undertaken and he was really impressed with it .

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: In this round the interviewer saw my answer sheet and said that he was impressed with my answers in section I but he expected me to perform section II also well.So he asked me to write either the full code for a linked list or Binary search tree.
I wrote the full code for a BST implementing all operations like insert,delete and search.He examined my code and asked me to explain it.I explained each module to him.But he told my code was full of recursive type and asked me to modify it to reduce stack size.
Modified it by using a current pointer to point to root and update it suitably with some help from.

Experience: Second Technical interview-
I was asked to demonstrate parallelism in the multiplication of 123456 and 437123.I suggested by multiplying 123456 with
each of the second number’s digits in 6 separate GPUs each.

Experience: There was an online test which had two sections: General Aps and English.
General basics is enough to clear this round. Then we had another English round : Precise
writing. It should not exceed the number of lines given there. They give much of importance in
this round since communication is fully done via mail in IBM. They eliminated many in this
round. Next was group discussion. The topic given was Role of women in modern India and
Development. They gave another topic too. That was corruption. Am not sure of how many
eliminated from this round. Next we had interview both technical and HR. Interview was easy
actually with basic questions only. In this they asked:
1) What is a data structure and where do yo use it.
2) What is linked list, stack, queue with logic and code for insertion and deletion in these.
3) About all sorting algorithms, their mechanism, time complexity and which one is the best.
4) Difference between complete binary tree and binary search trees.
5) Then some common questions from OS like semaphores, deadlock, etc.
6) Sorting a linked list.
7) About projects.
Round: HR Interview
Experience: 1) Tell about yourself.
2) From your explanation they will ask questions. Like if you mention you are adjustable to all
situations they ll ask you to site an example or disputes which you had with your friends. How
do yo say you are adjustable.
3) Ready to relocate to any part of India? If yes, how? Won’t you feel it difficult? You need to
explain and convince them.

Experience: 1. Apps and technical objective
Apps completely tough.
Totally 35 aps questions were asked and only 35 minutes were given for it :P:P
Also, technical questions were nothing but c aps
Only three problems were easy. Technical was easy.
2. Subjective:
1.Find the two non repeating elements in an array with other elements repeated two
times(even times) exactly in linear time .
2.String matching algorithm.
I just wrote the kmp algorithm in words.
Usually for few companies and pep exams, Career net only sets papers for written. Their apps
questions will be tough. Only by luck i entered the next round :)
Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Second round:
Group Discussion
There was a situation given. The group is stuck in a storm in the middle of their travel in some
ranchi lake.
We have only few materials left with us for rescue :) match stick , chocolate bars , air pillow,
sleeping bag, water filter, wine bottle.
We need to prioritise these things and just discuss with the group about out prioritisation :) It
was fine. This company wanted us to speak that's all.They eliminated only one in this round(who
didn't even speak a word).But do remember other management companies are not so.
Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Technical Interview :
Interview was pretty easy with simple questions , but don know why they were not
satisfied with my answers and I could not go ahead from this round in Goldmann Sachs .
Before they could ask me any question , I was asked to tell about myself . And I continued it for
about 15 min :P . I explained my personal skills,programming skills etc . Pretty long speech it
was !!!
Well below are the few questions which they asked me .
1. What are functional pointers ?? Why and where we use it ??
2. Design a class to show different shapes using inheritance and various other OOPS
concepts . I explained the concept of abstract class for shapes . Then he asked me by using
which access specifier you will inherit the abstract class ??
3. An easy puzzle or aps based How many times a hour and a minute hand intersects or
overlaps in a particular day of 24 hours ?
4. He gave me a small job . Now, am a road Contractor and I have to meet CM for
discussing about a project for laying a highway road from his/her home to chennai . And, as a
contractor , I have to do a requirement analysis regarding the project and discuss directly to the
Interviewer ( who is now the CM ).
5. Well, they did not ask anything from my area of interest . So, I asked them to test me
from my area and so, they asked me a question. It goes like this You are given a huge file with
lot of words , spaces and line breaks. I need to separated them as an array of strings having
fixed length size of 60, but you should not break any word
