Interview Experience
There was initially a aptitude test and later in second section it was technical test. Technical test mostly consists of topics related to turbo machinery for mechanical.
Interview Tips
Good knowledge of turbo machinery and thermodynamics will help to clear the round.

  • Question 3: Difference between pumps and compressors
  • Question 4: Explain refrigeration cycles and draw the cycle diagram

Interview Experience
This round consisted of both technical and HR. The technical questions are more or else covered all the topics of mechanical. But mostly related to turbo machinery. The interview started with introduction of myself and later was more about technical knowledge. Firstly I was asked to explain about my interns and curriculum project work. Later I was asked technical questions.
The interview lasted for about one hour. Later HR was along side and asked few questions. It was more about how open your are and to check your confidence.

Study more about turbo machinery.
Be open to all location and no preference for location ion

  • Section 2: Technical had questions regarding heat engines, heat pump, etc. in particular
Interview Experience
We had to fill basic questions regarding that company which doesn't as such required any prior preparation. The questions were limited to 'Why Reliance ?' and such stuff. We also had to attach a photograph on this form/sheet.
For the test there were cutoff marks for both the sections and you have to complete both successfully. No CG criteria was there in this test selection.

  • Question 1: *Technical Interview About heat and mass transfer
Interview Experience
They started by the 'introduce yourself' question. Then they came to core questions - questions about different types of heat pumps used in the industry, knowledge about heat engine & carnot cycle. CRE basic question like % of excess oxygen in methane combustion. Questions abot pressure drop in a pipeline, basic factors affecting the pressure drop and such stuff. They also asked questions and grilled about cyclone separator beacuse that was related to my internship. Lastly they gave 4 different sector options and the preference of me in joining them - R&D, New projects, Already existing projects, and one another. I did one research intern, so they asked whether or not I wanted to pursue higher studies.

Interview Experience
25 mcq questions were from chemical engineering and 25 mcq were from aptitude section. From chemical engineering section, most of the questions were from mass transfer followed by heat transfer, CRE, thermodynamics. From aptitude section most questions were time and selling price related.
Interview Tips
For technical section, the focus should be more on the mass transfer and heat transfer. For aptitude section, the accuracy along with time management is very important. Aptitude is given more weightage than the chemical related questions.

The level of Aptitude test was normal.It is upto Arun Sharma 2nd level.In this questions were asked from the topics time and work,time and distance,average,compound interst majorly.The technical questions were mostly from material science ,Strength of material , manufacturing and these were asked from technical questions of India Bix.So for Aptitude ,lofoya.com and pariksha.co is best and for technical ,india bix is sufficient for written test.
Interview Tips
Prefer to solve aptitude questions in online mode.Give weekly test of pariksha.co . Don't do aptitude questions from India bix. It is only for technical.

Hii guys,I am a mechanical student in NIT Allahabad. When i entered in interview room ,interviewer asked first question to tell me about my self ? I answer about my previous studies,about my parents and share the experience when i entered in college in 1st year.Then from there i come to my Project which i have done in college in 1st ,2nd and 3rd year.then he asked some questions from my project. After that he asked me from my AOI. It was SOM and I.C.Engine .He asked questions from SOM .He asked me about Stress-strain and fatigue diagram. then about designing of crankshaft and nut bolts. After that i said to him that sir ,i have one more project. As project is your strong Point where ypu can show your skill upto 100%. So i explain my summer training project and final year project. Then he asked me you have a lot of projects in Automobile sector .How these projects will helpful for reliance ? Before this i was rejected from some interview as i was not prepare for this question.but this time i cracked it .i Explained to him that all my projects are inclined towards reliance industries by giving him proper arguments. This time he was satisfied and then he asked me if you were appointed in maintenance and u have to motivate your subordinates ,how will u motivate them? I answered it perfectly by applying the concept of industrial engineering. Then last question is ,Do u want to ask any question? I visited reliance website and i was prepare for that question so i asked about ongoing project of reliance industries. This was all about 50 minutes.
Interview Tips
Prepare your projects very carefully and mold interview in your side. AOI should be prepared very well. Be confident.

Interview Experience
HR interview of Reliance was light. Its only a formality. 90% chance of selection ,when u forwarded from technical round.He said to me that your communication is not good so improve it and all you have written about your strength and weakness, you must have one supporting factor of it.
Interview Tips
Prepare about basic thing that are asked in HR like Strength and weakness, how u are fit for this job and what you have done to improve your weak skills . It was a good experience . I liked it very much.
