Test Technical Interview HR Interview
Round 1

Test

Interview Experience
They are mainly looking for students who have good programming skills. As the company is independent of the department in which you study, they allowed a lot non-CS/ EC departments. A good understanding of object oriented programming, operating systems, data structures and algorithm will help the student for the written test and interview. It was an online test held by some third party and contained a lot sections and subsections. It was not very tough but you have to be very quick at problem solving. Questions were based on operating systems, data structures, algorithm design, C/C++ programming, basics of Java and object oriented concepts, logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude; there were 5-6 questions on SQL too.
Interview Tips
Don’t waste excess time in any of the sections. There was a time limit for each subsection.
Round 2

Technical Interview

Interview Experience
The interviewer focused on the programming and problem solving skills of students. All the usual questions related to strings and linked-lists were asked. In this interview, they were asking the basics of many different aspects which an app developer should know, namely database management concepts, basics of web development and some programming. Knowledge of CS subjects is essential for this round.Puzzle solving ability is also tested in interview. Interviewer will give some small puzzles and will ask for efficient solutions.
They asked a lot of questions on our final (MTP) projects. Project portion alone took more than 1 hour in the first round of my interview.
Interview Tips
Try to interact with interviewer while solving the problem rather than silent thinking.
Round 3

HR Interview

Interview Experience
An interview with the usual HR questions like “Why do you want to join Oracle?”, etc.
Skills

Skills Tested

    Skill Tips
Knowledge of C programming is a must. Apart from this, if somebody knows C++/Java, he/she will have an extra edge. As Oracle is working on data processing in their app development. if the student has a basic understanding of SQL and HTML, it will be an advantage although it is not mandatory.
    General Tips
Try to crack the interview. A C programming pdf is available for free, which contains a collection of almost all types of programming problems which are asked in interviews. Apart from this, try to practice numerous questions related to aptitude.

    Interview Process
    Resume Shortlist Test HR Interview
    Round 1

    Resume Shortlist

    Interview Experience
The resume was as per the norms of our institute’s placement cell. I used only one resume for different companies, however I altered my “areas of interests” to make them compatible with the profile on offer. For instance while applying for profiles related to programming I mentioned my areas of interests as C++ and data structures, whereas in core companies I mentioned my areas of interests as machining and power systems.
    Round 2

    Test

    Interview Experience
The company had set a minimum CGPA cut off of 7.0. Consequently they entertained the resumes of only those candidates who had a CGPA greater than 7.0The first round was the written round. The paper consisted of various sections like logical reasoning section, the data interpretation section, verbal ability section and the programming section. The programming section consisted of questions on data structures and particularly on trees.
    Round 3

    HR Interview

    Interview Experience
The next round was the interview round. The questions asked during the interview were a combination of HR as well as technical. The HR questions included ‘Which is your dream company?’, ‘Why do you want to join this company and this profile?’ and few more like these. He did a review of my resume and asked me few questions from that as well. He enquired about my projects. He also asked me some coding questions, in one such question he asked me to create a link list using arrays. He also wanted to know the reason for me switching over from electrical arena to the IT sector. He also asked me a puzzle in which I was given a circle of a fixed radius and three lines and I was asked to calculate the maximum pieces the circle can be divided into with the help of these 3 lines.
I did not qualify for the further rounds.
    Interview Tips
Knowledge of data structure can be advantageous to move through the interview rounds
