Interview Experience
The written test consisted of three sections and all were of different time duration like 1st section consisted of 15 questions on matrices. There was no negative marking.(13 min)
2nd section consisted of 20 questions on number series. It had negative marking.(4 min)
3rd section consisted of 12 questions on aptitude. It also had negative marking.(15 min)

Interview Experience
The group discussion process was much regulated. Everyone gets a chance to speak. The topics was simple. Before the GD started we were instructed that everyone would get 30 sec to tell their opinion on the topic and 1-2 minutes
time to conclude the topic at the end.
Interview Tips
So one can get through GD round if he/she starts and concludes the topic well even if he/she didn't speak a single word during GD. So be confident while speaking.

Technical Interview

Interview Experience
In the technical interview first they asked basic of C and C++. Like what's the difference between C and C++, what is Inheritance, Data Encapsulation, Polymorphism, explain the concept of stacks, queues, linked lists. After this i
was asked to choose any one topic from my favorite subject and explain it. After that i was asked more questions from electronics.

HR Interview

Interview Experience
Tell me about yourself. What are your Hobbies. How was the PPT. What did u like the most in the PPT. What was the worst. Why CGPA is low. why IBM. what locations would i prefer.,etc.
Interview Tips
GD and interviews are just to test your basics, communication skills, confidence level.
General Tips
Just know the Basics of C, C++ and have one strong subject. Then its easy to crack the interview and get the job.

Interview Experience
There  was  an  online  test  which  had  two  sections:  General  Aps  and  English. 
General  basics  is  enough  to  clear  this round.  Then  we  had  another  English  round  : Precise 
writing. It should not exceed the number of lines given there. They give much of importance in 
this  round  since  communication  is  fully  done  via  mail  in  IBM.  They  eliminated  many  in  this 
round. Next was  group  discussion. The  topic  given was Role  of women  in  modern  India  and 
Development.  They  gave  another  topic  too. That  was  corruption. Am  not  sure  of  how  many 
eliminated from this round. Next we had interview both technical and HR. Interview was easy 
actually with basic questions only. In this they asked:
1) What is a data structure and where do yo use it.
2) What is linked list, stack, queue with logic and code for insertion and deletion in these.
3) About all sorting algorithms, their mechanism, time complexity and which one is the best.
4) Difference between complete binary tree and binary search trees.
5) Then some common questions from OS like semaphores, deadlock, etc.
6) Sorting a linked list.
7) About projects.

HR Interview

Interview Experience
1) Tell about yourself.
2) From your explanation they will ask questions. Like if you mention you are adjustable to all 
situations they ll ask you to site an example or disputes which you had with your friends. How 
do yo say you are adjustable.
3) Ready to relocate to any part of India? If yes, how? Won’t you feel it difficult? You need to 
explain and convince them.

IPAT question paper with three sections. each section has its own time constraint. section 1 with no negativemarking. section 2&3 have -ve marking(1/4).section 1: purely number series. most of the questions follow the similar pattern.section 2: data matrices. 5*5 matrices are given with some data. questions asked by modifying some fields in someway. these are not at all tough. but time consuming.section 3: simple quantitative questions.

Each group in GD had 13 members. First they asked each person to give their view/opinion about the topic. and then discussion started.They were impressed with my conclusion.
Interview Tips
Important thing that needs to be considered here is raising worthy points as well as giving nice conclusion.While giving conclusion, don't convey your point of view again. conclusion is the summary of all the points raised by all the members during the discussion.

Technical Interview

Interview Experience
It was mostly concentrated on java. sql,jdbc. Few questions about B.Tech projects were also asked. In all the panels, there is some focus on HR questions also.

HR Interview

Interview Experience
HR  tested confidence, listening skills also. questions about hobbies, why should i hire u etc are fired. why btech%age is so low(i secured 62.5% in my btech)?
Interview Tips
Unless you feel them whole-heartedly, dont give standard answers to HR questions
General Tips
Don't waste your time.Even if you have an educational gap, make it a plus point by gaining extra skills. Have the attitude of dedicating yourself to your organization. Feel the responsibility.

1. Initially around 100 students sat for the written test.
2. Out of that only 66 students got selected for Online Communciation Test.
3. After this round, 25 people got selected for interview round and 21 people got the offers.

I had basically gone through indiabix.com site and I had solved all the questions related to number series, ratio and proportion, averages and also took some aptitude test given there.

Stick to your basics. Brush-up your 10th and 12th class topics. And apart from it know your projects well. In IBM they generally ask from projects. And after that Online communication test around 90 person students generally get selected.Do some Research on company in which you are going to sit.First round was challenging and after that it was little bit stress-less.

In aptitude test they gave questions on number series. In Quantitative test questions are some word problems Data matrices are given in Reasoning. Technical questions are mainly based on C,C++ and data structures. This experience was great. Initially I was tensed but the panel members made me feel easy & comfortable. I myself found the test very easy. I was the topper of the test.

Finding the tree given pre order and in order traversal. Program to reverse a linked list. Effect of fork on addresses. Which algorithm you'll prefer to reduce the number of multiplication of matrix multiplication. Questions like these were asked so be prepared with all of them.

Tell about yourself. What are your hobbies. Why do you want to join in ibm. Tell your opinion about patents. 
Are you interested in further studies. These are the key points you should know about yourself before going 
to a HR interview.
General Tips
