Interview Questions
  • Question 1: control systems
  • Question 2: circuit theory
  • Question 3: electrical machines
  • Question 4: power systems
Interview Experience
My interview was on 1st July at Anushakti Nagar. The interview started at about 7.45pm and went on till 9.00pm. I was the last candidate in the building so interview went on late. And then one of them started asking about my previous work experience. It went on for 3-5 mins. They have asked about my subject topics which i have answered them.

Control systems: on this topic they will drill about the responses such as domain response, frequency response and zero plot. In my case they tried to find out how the stability would be effected with the varying and changing of various parameters.

Circuit Theory: This topic was all about Rlc circuits, current , voltage , resonance etc. Be prepared to explain theoretically and mathematically.

Electrical machines: This part consisted about 70% of Induction motors. They went in detail about torque slip, transformers. The questions ranged from eddy currents to core material.

Power systems: They asked the questions related to conductors, string efficiency, fault calculations etc. When you prepare for machines try preparing the related fields too.

Overall the experience was great. The panel was great. Even if you be nervous at that stage, the panel tries to comfort you by giving the hints. They told one thing that they were looking for direct answers, as i was not able too answer lot of questions initially but i was able to answer after a bit of hints.
Interview Tips
I want to give a suggestion to place the subjects which you are confident of in the top place. The first 20 to 30 mins would be based on those topics. As I was good in control systems and circuit theory it went on well.

I would like to advice to be prepared to wait for a whole day. I had my interview after 11 hours of getting into the building. Even though it will take much time, they provide you with snacks.
