Interview Experience
There were four sets of paper:
1)Verbal - 20 questions were asked. Easy ones.
2)Analytical - same. only easy questions were asked.
3)Algorithms - some questions in this section were little tough. Apart from that algorithms like BFS,DFS and postorder, preorder traversals,sorting techniques like bubble sort,radix sort, and one question on complexity was also asked.It was for 10 mins and 15 questions were asked.
4)C++ Programming - Templates, structures, "What is the output" type questions,Wrapper classes etc were asked. Time management is necessary in Algorithms and C++ part.
Round 2

Technical Interview

Interview Experience
It was for 40 mins.Two of them took my interview simultaneously. Both were very friendly. They asked me a lot of questions. They asked me my favourite subject and i told OS. So questions were asked mainly from that only. Some of them were how to run a flat binary file in the processor, process concepts,virtual memory concepts, process scheduling etc.. It was not tough.. Be very prepared with the basics first. Next they tested my programming ability.. They gave me an option of c++ and java. I took java. So they asked me on extending classes , interfaces and a program based on that. Basic OOPS concepts were also asked. Though they did'nt ask me,details of the final year project was very much concentrated.
Round 3

HR Interview

Interview Experience
This was for 20 mins. They asked me to tel about myself, why avaya?, are u placed in any other company? etc.
Surprisingly she asked about my project also . She was very friendly and talked very positively. Answering
confidently is the basic key here..As a whole the selection went very well for me. All the panel members were very amicable.The PPT was good.. The selection process went for 9 hours totally.. It was a good experience.

General Tips
Basics of everything you have studied in 2&3 year.<br />
Not getting placed early is not a reason to bury yourself in depression. Just work hard.<br />
It's going to be exhausting. The placement interviews are more rigorous than internship interviews. Don't be surprised.

Interview Experience
Totally there were 2 sections. One had 35 General Aptitude and English Grammar questions. Second Section was purely Technical, of which they focussed on C++ and DS. Second Section had 15 questions. Totally the test had 50 questions and the time given was 1 hour.
Interview Tips
Focus on Aptitude and Grammar as 1st section contains 35 questions out of 50.

Technical Interview

Interview Experience
They basically concentrated on the C/C++ programming skills. They also touched upon the basics(e.g. pointers) about these languages. They also asked some basics about the operating systems. They also looked for the communication skills.
Interview Tips
Be strong with your basics mainly pointers and structures.
Round 3

HR Interview

Interview Experience
They Enquired about the higher studies. They also gave a situation and asked your response for that. Then they asked about the hobbies, passions. They also asked...why do you prefer avaya.....??
Interview Tips
1.Your way of presenting yourself matters a lot.
2.Never ever mention them about your plans of going to higher studies in case if any.

    General Tips
    Be cool. There is nothing to worry because they will not screw you by asking about polymorphism or ask you to write a 3 page program. Be strong with your basics mainly pointers and structures. Assure them that you will work for the company for at least 5 years. Never ever mention them about your plans of going to higher studies in case if any.

    General HR questions were asked like tell me something about yourself , why you want to join this company, what is your expectations from this company, any other job holdings, little bit technical.they also asked about interests and achievements.

    The written exam was for 60 minutes and consisted of 50 questions(35 analytical+15 programming).There were questions on English grammar(5 in number).Analytical was average. 4-5 questions were very lengthy.Programming section had questions on C language,basic data structures(trees).

    Work hard on C programming and also clear the concepts of basic Data structures(trees).

      and solving practice papers is enough for aptitude test.

      There were two rounds of technical interview and HR was included in that (there was no separate HR round ).......they asked about my technical background ....i told them about my interest in networking field and all my projects and everything are in this field so they asked me all parts of networking subject.....they asked me to design our university network.....and also how to maintain it .....optimize it ....they asked recursive reversing of linked list ... in the second round they asked about normalization then about c libraries ...and what they contain ....also about my project ...etc....
